Not too much to say about this one. I personally just don’t feel like it’s as big a deal as people make it out to be. Sure, it’s got some memorable parts, like the “king of the world” scene that loads of people recreate whenever they have the chance to stand on guard rails, but I just don’t get what all the hype was about. All I really remember about my experience watching it was that it was so long it had to be on two VHS tapes and it gave me a headache by the end of it. And for the romance plot, I just couldn’t get hooked knowing that they were going to have to go through a literal disaster – which is what the movie should have focused more on, in my opinion. But then, I’m not a screenwriter, and romance is probably my least favorite genre anyway.
